No. The 3ft Barricade Gate is designed to be fully integrated into your line using the same hook and loop system as our standard barricades. You simply hook it into place like any other unit, making it incredibly easy to set up or move as your entry/exit needs change.
2. Is the latch secure enough to prevent the crowd from opening it?
The gate is designed with a secure latch that is intended for staff operation. While it provides a clear physical and visual barrier, for high-security areas where unauthorized entry is a major concern, we recommend stationing a guard or event staff member at the gate to manage the checkpoint.
3. Why is a 3-foot gate recommended for emergency access?
A 3-foot opening is the standard width for individual pedestrian movement. In the event of an emergency, having multiple 3ft gates distributed along a long perimeter allows EMS personnel to enter with equipment or provides "relief valves" for a crowd to exit safely without having to dismantle the entire steel barricade line.
