1. Will a standard passenger vehicle fit through a 6-foot gate?
While a 6-foot gate is excellent for small utility vehicles, golf carts, and motorcycles, most modern passenger cars and trucks require a wider opening. For full-size vehicle access, we recommend using an 8ft gate or pairing two 6ft gates together to create a 12-foot double-gate system.
2. How difficult is it to install the 6ft gate into an existing line?
Installation is incredibly simple. Because it uses the standard hook and loop system, you simply hook the gate into the adjacent barricades as you would any other unit. No specialized hardware or permanent mounting is required, allowing you to move the access point as needed.
3. Is the 6ft gate stable enough to stand on its own?
Like all crowd control barriers, the gate is most stable when interlocked within a line of barricades. The adjacent units provide the structural support needed for the gate to swing open and closed properly. For maximum stability, we recommend using Heavy Duty Flat feet on the units immediately flanking the gate.
